General
What is FlexTable?
FlexTable is a fast, native desktop database client for PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite, MongoDB and Redis - with a virtualised DataGrid that handles 100k+ rows smoothly, a query editor with autocomplete, and auto-generated ER diagrams.
Which operating systems are supported?
macOS 12+ (Universal - Apple Silicon & Intel), Windows 10+, and Linux (deb / AppImage).
Is FlexTable really free during beta?
Yes. While we are in public beta (v0.x), every feature is unlocked. When v1.0 ships, paid features will move behind Pro / Team - your beta install will keep working.
How do I report a bug or request a feature?
Use the feedback form on the homepage or reach out from the contact page. We read every message.
Databases
Which databases can I connect to?
PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite, MongoDB and Redis - all from a single app, with one consistent interface.
How many rows can the DataGrid handle?
The grid is fully virtualised, so 100k+ rows scroll smoothly without freezing. Results stream in and are cached for instant re-access.
Does it support ER diagrams and schema exploration?
Yes. FlexTable auto-generates entity-relationship diagrams from your schema, and the query editor offers schema-aware autocomplete and formatting.
Can I back up and restore databases?
Yes - backup and restore workflows are built in, so you can snapshot and recover without leaving the app.
Privacy & security
Where is my data stored?
FlexTable is a native desktop app. Your connection details and query results stay on your machine - we never proxy your database traffic through our servers.
Are my database credentials sent anywhere?
No. Credentials are stored locally on your device and used only to connect directly to your databases.
Does the Team plan add access controls?
Yes. Team includes a shared connection vault, SAML / Google SSO, and an audit log with access controls.
